We are always looking for individuals to aid in our mission to provide the best pre-hospital emergency care to the citizens of Staunton and surrounding Augusta County. We offer various types of memberships in order to fit your abilities and needs. No experience is necessary – training opportunities are available. Click the headings below to learn more!
JUNIOR
- Must be between the ages of 16 and 21
- Full membership requires 12 hours of duty a week
- Associate membership requires 24 hours of duty a week
- Must attend Junior business meetings
- Must maintain valid EMT and CPR certifications
FULL SENIOR
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Required to run 12 hours of duty weekly
- Must attend all training meetings and at least 3 business meetings per year
- Must maintain valid EMT, EVOC and CPR certifications
SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Must be at least 21 years of
age
- Required to run 24 hours of duty monthly
- Must attend all training meetings; not required to attend business meetings (but you are welcome to join us!)
- Must maintain valid EMT,
EVOC and CPR certifications
SUPPORT
- Must assist the squad 24 hours every 6 months in a variety of methods including, but not limited to, teaching classes, running calls, public relations events, dispatch or other administrative tasks
- Must maintain valid EMT,
EVOC and CPR certifications
STUDENT ASSOCIATE
- For students who are attending local college, or university; or a student whose residence is out of town and who temporarily resides in the area during their term of college
- Must maintain valid EMT, EVOC and CPR certifications
DRIVER ONLY
(SENIOR SQUAD)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Required to run 24 hours of duty monthly
- Must maintain valid EVOC and CPR certifications
